Conference Theme 2013

Building Learning Capacity for Life

This conference is for anyone interested in their own learning and that of others in schools, higher education and workplace environments. We are specifically interested in innovative approaches to learning and e-learning; leading learning with organizations; approaches to individualizing learning; awareness of motivational and affective dimensions of learning; use of learning styles in classrooms and learning through play. The major theme of the conference is thus Building Learning Capacity for Life. ELSIN 2013 especially welcomes submissions that focus on one of the following key issues:

• Innovative approaches to learning
• Innovations to support lifelong learning
• Building the bridge to learning for life
• Playing for Life (learning)
• Activating learning throughout life e.g. through play
• Awareness of individual differences
• Motivational strategies
• Good practice: putting style research into practice
• Entrepreneurship and styles

Contributions to the conference can be either empirical, theoretical/conceptual or practice-oriented, but all should be conceptually, theoretically and methodologically sound. Special attention will be given to the relevance and value of submissions for research about styles and strategies of learning and thinking. ELSIN particularly welcomes practitioners and PhD students.

This will be a dynamic and interactive conference where you will have numerous opportunities to work with others to share and develop ideas and experience the Building Bridges LEGO® experience. If you have an idea that you would like to discuss with us please contact Lena Boström or Carol Evans.
